"Robinpaw, please come here," Swallowtail called to her apprentice through a mouthful of berries. The skin was as delicate as an egg's, the experienced medicine cat made sure she didn't break any of them. The cold frost of leaf-bare was finally leaving, but not all the herbs and plants grew back yet. They needed as much as they could get.
"I need more comfrey and poppy seeds. Wait a moment-" she patted the pile of cobwebs into place. "-and I'll show you the best places." She slipped out of the hollow, with the light-stepped apprentice in tow. She tried imitating her mentor's gait, but she noticed and hissed at her to keep her tail out of the air. "Prey will see you a mile away," she warned. Robinpaw nodded. Swallowtail stopped and pointed to a bush with her tail. "This..." the red berries shown brightly, tempting. "...is a deathberry bush. Never eat these- small cats could die within moments." They continued slinking in the underbrush. Swallowtail suddenly froze, and Robinpaw whispered, "What is i-", and received a mouthful of fur. She clenched her teeth, closing her mouth. "Shh.." her mentor whispered. "Listen..." They could hear yowling in the distance, and a loud splash.

"Stay," was all Swallowtail whispered, and closed her eyes. A soft, etheral glow seemed to emit from the medicine cat, and Robinpaw bit her lip, refraining herself from gasping. She had seen the she-cat at work before, many times, actually, but never seen this! She stayed silent as her mentor's eyes opened, revealing a deep, royal blue. Her eyes widened. The she-cat threaded swiftly in the underbrush, not directly to the commotion (which had become a roar of water and gurgling, but upland, to the left. Her paws itched to help, but she listened to her mentor's instructions.
I'm sorry, Bumblebee, but I think you'll have to play as a kit. ;3 Maybe, but since you're in the Mossclan roleplay, you can play as a warrior... this time. xD Just read it, it's not very long. ;3

IC:Bummblebee circled the intruder."What's the big idea coming on mossclan territory and taking prey?"he mewed."Your territory"the tom spat on the ground"I'lll show you whos territory."with that the tom pounced.Bummblebees rolled out from under him but the tom took a good chunk out of his ear."You've done it now"Bummbleebee hissed"Nobody I meen nobody messes up my good looks"Bummblebee jumped on the tom and scratched the tom's face till his paws were covered in blood.The tom shook with fury"I'll kill you."the tom threw Bummblebee across the clearing and before he had a chance to get up pounced on him ran his claws across his flank.Bummblebee yowled in pain he had lost some blood but not as much as the other tom."If I can keep this up for a little longer I can wear him out"he thought to himslef.Bummblebee rolled over and sandwiched the tom to the ground."Got a name stranger"he asked as he squashed the tom."Spider."he mewed"Well Spider do you give up?"he asked "NEVER"he thrust his back legs into Bummblebee and sent him flying into the bushes.Bummblebee landed in a patch of stickers"Now look what you did."he mewed not revealing his cover.

Swallowtail breathed out of clenched teeth. When she saw her fellow clanmate struggling against the tide of the swelling river, she broke out of her trance (regrettably) and called out to Robinpaw. "Robinpaw, go help Bumblebee!" she yowled, and turned to the mystery cat. "You-" she seethed, narrowing her eyes. He narrowed his and slipped off. "You- you're not getting away from me, Spider!" (She had heard him say his name.) She slipped off after him. Skidding to a stop when she saw him bounding away in the bushes, she stopped momentarily and started concentrating again, breathing slowly. Her pulse slowed, and her ears flicked around, capturing all sounds and movements. Her eyes glowed, finallizing her trance. She opened her eyes, and at a breakneck speed, raced into the underbrush. She whizzed straight past Spider, who yelped, and jumped back. She sped around, faster than a normal cat could, and hissed and spat in his face. Before he could react, she pounced on his back, unsheathing her claws and digging them deep. She didn't like hurting other cats, but she would if she had too. Spider yelped loudly, in obvious agonizing pain. Swallowtail thought for a second, and released, jumping off. But not without grazing his neck and nipping his ankles, to immobilize him in case he decided to attack again. She stood tall compared to the wimpering tom, and said: "Do not- I repeat, do not, mess with my clan again." She batted his eyes, claws sheathed, not to blind, but to warn the offensive cat.

Robinpaw raced toward the river. "Bumblebee, are you okay?" She asked. But she didn't wait for an answer. "Umm... Okay, what do I need?..." She was scared. She had only just been appointed an apprintice, but she used to watch Swallowtail in her den when she was a kit. She closed her eyes, concintrating hard. "I need... Marigold for infections and.... Cobwebs!" She quickly scurried away to find these things and came back a moment later. She started to chew the marigold into a pulp and spread it on his wounds. Then she gently pressed the cobwebs around her paw on Bumblebee's scratches.

Robinpaw raced toward the river. She flew into the icy cold water. She swam quickly toward Bumblebee, the current tugging at her fur. She grabbed his scruff and grunted with the effort. He was heavy! But StarClan must have been at her side, for she had a short burst of enegy, enought to drag Bumblebee onto the riverbank. She gently kneaded his belly, and he coughed and spat up water. "Bumblebee, are you okay?" She asked. But she didn't wait for an answer. "Umm... Okay, what do I need?..." She was scared. She had only just been appointed an apprintice, but she used to watch Swallowtail in her den when she was a kit. She closed her eyes, concintrating hard. "I need... Marigold for infections and.... Swallowtail yowled at the limping tom, who tried to walk away, but his paw was impeding his way, making him stumble and trip. She watched through narrowed eyes. "I will be back," she announced quietly, and raced away to find Robinpaw treating Bumblebee, who was breathing steadily, a puddle of water surrounding them. "Robinpaw- we need to get him away from the water and somewhere safe." she meowed. "We can't treat him properly him. Have him lean on your shoulder, and take him back to the camp." She checked him thoroughly for wounds and possible fractures. "He's stable," she announced, and let Robinpaw support the weak tom. "I have some unfinished business to attend to." She narrowed her eyes, nodded to her apprentice, who nodded back, and left to find the intruder.
Swallowtail felt the leaves rustle in a whirlwind around her, tickling her ears. She flickered them as she came to a stop in the small bloodstained clearing. The intruder tom cat was still there, blood pooling at his paws and trickling out of his mouth. He almost seemed like a wolf to the medicine cat, but she shook away the image and focused on the injured cat. Her paws glowed as she touched the cold, damp, wind-ruffled fur. Soon, she herself was glowing, and when she reopened her eyes, the pure, icy blue eyes saw that he stopped bleeding. She let out an enormous breath, one she'd been holding for a while. She rubbed his fur with a scented flower to rid of the rusty, metalic smell of blood, and propped him on her shoulders. She slowly walked toward the direction of the camp, the smell of blood mixed with herbs trailing after them.
Robinpaw saw Swallowtail walk into camp with the intruder slung over her back. "Swallowtail, why's he here?!" She hissed. "I know medicine cats are supposed to help everyone, but he's an intruder!"
"He deserves the same help as any cat, intruder or not. The warrior code says we are allowed to help cats from other clans, so why not?" She silenced the apprentice from saying any more with a swish of her tail. Cats stared and whispered behind paws as the medicine cat walked confidently across the clearing with a bloodied intruder on her shoulders. "Swallowtail, what is the meaning of this?" Willowstar frowned, not exactly angry but meowed with edge. He was the only cat who dared approach. "He is plainly hurt, Willowstar, and the warrior code says we cannot let a cat die when it is so obvious we can help." She ignored the daggers she knew being thrown at her back. (Robinpaw, I'm going to use you, okay?) Robinpaw flinched as she heard her mentor's defense. The code didn't say that, although indirectly.. sort of. She felt a pang of worry if her leader thought her of wrongdoing by twisting the code and decided to banish her for her boldness. She would become medicine cat then... but she still had stuff to learn and she didn't want to be unprepared to serve her clan. Willowstar thought for a moment, and finally meowed, "Fine. But he is a captive until he gets better. He will stay within the camp." Robinpaw released a breath. "You and your apprentice are responsible- if he pulls anything, it'll be you two at fault." He growled, narrowing his eyes. The back of Robinpaw's neckfur rose. Swallowtail nodded, showing she understood the rules. "We understand." She meowed the two words calmly. This time Robinpaw was angry at her mentor. I didn't get any say in this! She almost cried out loud. But she shut it in time to remember Willowstar, who was still there, watching. His expression was calm and neutral. "Very well then. See to it that he heals quickly." "We will do our best." Swallowtail nodded again. After he left, Robinpaw whispered to her mentor, out of the intruder's hearing, "Why did you do that? We know nothing about him!" She hissed defiantly. "More to better to learn from him." Swallowtail simply said, and left the dumbstruck apprentice outside while she went inside the hollow to prepare a suitable bed for Spider.

Robinpaw shook her head and called, "Hey, wait for me!" She bounded toward the medicine cat den. "Oh, Bumblebee! You're awake!" she exclaimd as she noticed the cat. "How are you feeling?"
Swallowtail curled next to an exhausted Spider, who had laid out his own bed. At least he's not savage, thought Swallowtail. She ran her tail across his back and flank to check for wounds. After a moment, she got up to get some herbs. She returned with a mouthful, and Spider didn't react when she rubbed the stinging pulp on his scars and wounds. Finally, he asked, "Why? Why did you help me? Why are you helping me now?" His meow was raspy, and she soaked some moss with water and plopped it at his paws wordlessly. When he finished, she removed the moss and sat next to him, rubbing against him for warmth. Then she spoke. "I am a medicine cat. I can't simply leave another cat to die, nearly killing my clanmate or not. Well, that would be a different story, but I did almost kill you, so I guess we're even." She started licking the cowlicks in his pelt straight. Spider frowned. "Just because? No other reason?" He stared suspiciously at the medicine cat. Swallowtail hesitated. "Well, no. There's another reason. But I think that you do not need of it now." She answered quietly. She quickly moved on. "Of course, the whole clan will hate me now, but you've just have to live with it." She continued licking. Spider stared at her admiringly. Finally, she said, "Well, if you're just going to sit around and stare, could you at least help? Starclan help me, your pelt is so filthy!" She made a face, jokingly, and spat out some dirt and dust. She drank some leftover water from the moss.
