"Right! Oh, Lionpaw! Remember, you're free to come over here!" she winked as she said it. Braveheart was an apprentice for only a few days. Only because she trained as a kit with Lionpaw. Lionpaw and Jaypaw were older. Starpaw was obviously younger. Giggling, she got in a stance. "READY! Don't forget my speed!"

Starpaw dashed at her mentor,trying to predict Braveheart's next move.You see,Starpaw was abel to tell what a cat was going to do next,especially when fighting.It was an ability she discovered as a young kit.She leaped at her mentor,confident that her plan would work.

CougarTrail peared into the forest, its dark shadows moving about, he definely smelt another clans scent. After walking in circles for abit, the wet shaggy cat started to get impatent, he didn't want to seem rude and but in. He moved slowly towards a bush and noticed BraveHeart with her apprentice. "Something's up" he whispered with alittle bit of amusement in his voice.

Starpaw unsheathed her claws,twirled around her mentor gracefully,and gave a strong blow to her.She suddenly paused.A familiar scent had caught her attention.Once she recognized the cat scent,she called out his name.
"Cougartrail!" She mewed excitedly.

Braveheart was too fast. She wasn't hit. She was faster than any cat. Smirking, she landed one quick blow after another, each move lithe and graceful. Eventually it should tire the opponent, but right now was training. Braveheart's moves couldn't be read. Nothing about Braveheart could be read. She smiled and ran in different patterns, each different. Smirking, she did another attack and then sat in the same spot she had. It was if she hadn't even moved. She wasn't gasping, or sweating.

Starpaw was tired out.She couldn't seem to focus on her fighting,all she could think about was him.Her heart pounding,her breathing raspy,she attempted to try and attack Braveheart at least once.Gathering all her strenght,she pounced once more on her mentor.But instead of a cat's soft fur,she felt hard ground touch her paws.She didn't know where she leaped,she only guessed where Braveheart would be.And she thought wrong.Knocking her head on the cold,solid dirt,she lay there,her tail twitching slightly,her flank moving up and down from the shallow breathes she took.Her vision was blurred,and all she could see was a dark silhouette.

CougarTrails ears pricked up, his walked out from behind the bush and watched StarPaw knock herself out. He showed no sign of concern or amusement from it, his grey watched her breathe slowly. He had once been in accident like this, stupidpity and carelessness were two things one should not do.
"Did you want me to get the Medince Cat, BraveHeart?" he asked, very simply.

"Yes please, Cougartail. And thanks," mewed Braveheart. She then padded up to Starpaw and looked to her apprentice. "Oh, and Cougartail, I'd like a word with you in private after this, if you don't mind." Looking around, she smiled to Lionpaw, and whispered, "Thanks for being here, Lionpaw." As soon as Cougartail had disapeared, she looked to Lionpaw and her expression went from calm to frantic. "Lionpaw, I despretly need your help. I need to get away for a few days, and I can't do it without my Clan thinking I'm disloyal. Please, do you have any ideas?"

CougarTail nodded his head and vanished back into the gloomy shadows of the trees, "What does she want to talk to me about?" he wondered couriosly. He noticed FrostStar and IcicleLight talking to one another, quickly as he could he raced down to them at the base of the Medince Cats den, "Sorry to interupt, but StarPaw is knocked out when her and BraveHeart were training! We really need your help IcicleLight" he explained in a hurry to get back.

"Exuse me Froststar but i must help Starpaw i will be back in moment!!" and then Iciclelight followed Cougartil to Starpaw.
"Move, we need to give air!!." said Iciclelight. She paused trying to think what herb she need." Cougartail! Get me juiner berries for her breathing.. and get me Lavenders, just in case if she gets a high fever....Now hurry!! Iciclelight went to a near-by puddle and found some cobwebs and put the cobweb on Starpaw's forehead. She saw Braveheart worried
"Braveheart, she will be fine trust me okay!!" she said trying to calm Starpaw's mentor.

CougarTrail fled from the accident, sharply cutting a conner he knew very well where a lavender bush was. He always avioded it if possible, it had a strong scent. Now the black tom could see the purple herbs, he skidded to a halt. "how much do i need?" he thought but time was of the essence, he graped a bundle and raced back to IcicleLight. "i'm going to get the Juniper berries now"

"Thank you Cougartailgo and get the Juniper Berries now.. HURRY!!" and then she saw The cat run off.
Iciclelight put her paw on Starpaw's fore-head to tell if she was getting a fever. "She getting a fever.." thought Iciclelight. Then when she was about to take her paw off Starpaw, something happend to Iciclelight that never happend before. She imediantly saw Starpaw getting up, her surroundings where blurry. "What in the name of Starclan just happend!!" she thought.

The got some Lavenders and crushed them into tiny peaices then put them into Starpaw's mouth trying to get her to chew, then she did. "She's okay!! but why isnt she awak!!"

CougarTrail kept running, but never tired. But a shadowy figure caught his eye, he kept watching it until he stumbled over a rock and skidded across the unforgiving ground. His eyes were half closed, only his breaths were keeping him awake.
The noise of the forest startled him, he could smell blood. He moved his back leg and started to move, some blood ran down his eyes. He swiped it away, and looking over his shoulder where the gash hurt. Again he saw the shadowy figure, it smelt so farmilar. Everything stopped, his life, his thoughts, his history. It was the smell of his dead sister, he backed off but the shadow dashed off, wondering wheather to follow cougarTrail followed his gashed stinging bit he noticed the shadow was going to one of his dreaded parts of the forest. He stopped and run the other way, "Juniper berries!" he cried and snatched a mouthful. He dropped them at IcicleLights paws.

"Tha- Cougartrail!! What happen to you!!!" Iciclelight ran by a little bush and found Cobwebs and put it on Cougartrial."It might sting but thank you!! You've been a greta help!!
She crushed the Juniper Berries and waited for about another mintute to have Starpaw chew the Juniper Berries. "Okay c'mon chew these to!" she thought then when she turned she saw what happend to Cougartrail "What is going on with me!!! why can i see theses things!! Starcl;an please answer me!!" she thought aslo. She put her paw underneath Starpaw's nose to tell how her bretahing was doing. She was breathing at the normal rate. "She will be okay.. but i would like her to her to stay in my den for a while..and I would like you, Cugartrail to comewith me as well i want to get a better look at your wound...." She asked Cougartrail to get the rest of the medicen and bring it back with them as Iciclelight got Starpaw onto her back.

CougarTrail stayed silent, the mare smell of his sister made him, upset. He watched StarPaw some more, "Has StarClan always sent you signs? Maybe you need to look for unusal sightings first" he commented, closing his eyes. CougarTrail met BraveHearts gaze, he wanted to know wheather she wanted to talk to him after or before he went to the Medince Cats den.

"Iciclelight, I know plenty well how to dull at least a little pain. I'd like to talk to you, Cougartail." Lionpaw had left and now was in the safety of the shadows, watching Braveheart with curiosity. Nodding to Iciclelight, she walked off, turning her head once to make sure Cougartail was following.

The got back into the medicne cat den and Iciclelight layed Starpaw on some moss.Then she turned to Cougartrail.
" Let me see your wound." she checked the wound and let Cougartrail go and do whatever he needed to do.
"You'll be okay Starpaw i promise!!" she thought to herself

Starpaw woke up to the sweet smell of lavender,a smell she loved very much.She lifted her head to found out that she was in a dark place,one she's never been in before.But as she saw all the herbs all around her,neatly arranged in little piles,she guessed it was the medicine cat's den.shaking her head lightly,she tried to grasp the situation.Why am I here? That question rang in her ears like an echo.As she tried to get up,she felt one of her legs go numb,and so gave up to rest.But she was once again alarmed by the sound of voices heard in the distance,getting louder with every passing moment.

CougarTrail jogged up into the forest, catching BraveHearts scent he followed it to where StarPaw was before. He stired, the forest was quiet. He saw BraveHeart and LionPaw, he padded up to met them.

Iciclelight saw the apprentice, Starpaw move. "Your awake and safe Starpaw. You fanted when you were battle training. I would like for you to stay in the den for a little while..okay?" she meowed camly.

"O-okay......" Starpaw said quietly.She did not argue with Iciclelight,for she was way too tired to do so.All that really mattered to is how she made a fool of herself.And in front of him.That was really smooth,Starpaw.Way to impress a tom! She tried to hold in a yawn,but it could not be helped.Moments passed and she still didn't fall asleep.Finally,after several hours,she surrendered to a deep slumber.

Cougartail. Silversong nodded to him then looked back to Lionpaw. "Will you stay with our Clan for a few days, Lionpaw?" Lionpaw was a good friend of hers. But he was older and made fun of her. Scowling as he mewed, "Why, protectiong, little one?", she hissed playfully and cuffed him on the ear. "I wouldn't be the one talking, aprentice." She smirked then smiled sweetly as Cougartail fully caught her attention. "Hey! How are you? Okay, so here's why I wanted to talk to you..."

"About two days," said Lionpaw calmly. Braveheart was rocked with worry as the two stayed calm. Laying down, she closed her eyes and calmed down, and mewed, "Safety in is the hands of our Clans. StoneClan and our Clan shall unite..." and then opened her eyes.

Starpaw looked around.She was dreaming.Darkness surrounded her,except a small,faint light floating in front of her. A firefly.
"Hello Kira.Can you take me to Stormstar?" She asked silently to the firefly named Kira. She would usually meet the bug many times in her dreams,she was good friends with it.Yes,it is quite unsual for a cat to befriend a dead insect that lives in Starclan with the founder of Stormclan.She met Stormstar and Kira for the first time when she dreamt that she was drowning in the river nearby her clans' territory,and ever since they met again and again in her dreams.She followed the bug deeper into the darkness until they reached a clearing with many cats chatting quietly.They finally reached a dark gray tom with piercing blue eyes who was talking to a tortoiseshell she-cat,Ripplestream.
"Stormstar!Ripplestream! I'm here!" The apprentice mewed excitedly.
"Oh,hello,Starpaw." The former leader greeted the apprentice and his pet Kira."How's Braveheart doing?And how are you doing?" He asked.
"Braveheart is doing great,I think.But I'm doing fine,actually." She replied cheekily.
"Why did you come here,Starpaw?" That was Ripplestream.
"Oh no reason.I just wanted to see you guys!" "Ah,that's good." Stormstar continued.
"Well,I'm actually a bit tired.I accidently knocked myself out,then I woke up in Iciclelight's den,but then I decided to go to sleep.Well,I guess I should head back.See ya!" And so,she followed Kira back to the waking world.

"Cougartail. I need your help. Okay, here. You must go gather herbs. Go! Lionpaw, follow me." Nodding to Cougartail, she headed off with Lionpaw to Starpaw.

"Starpaw! Wake! We must talk!" exclaimed Braveheart, probbing her apprentice with her paw. She shook her head sleepily as she walking front of Starpaw and sat. "You should, too."

Lionpaw and Braveheart sat there. Lionpaw was larger than Braveheart. Starpaw was the youngest there. Braveheart was in the middle. Pawing the ground softly, she made a square.
"Four sides, like our Clan. Each is even, unlike out Clans. That's what's different."

Braveheart's eyes flickered to the ground as she whispered, "Why can't we all be even? Then we could all pass in peace and no harm would be done." She closed her eyes and pictured a square. In that sqare was the founder of their Clan, Stormstar.

He said to her, "Braveheart, you alone will save the Clan. Remember that. Okay? But someone shall lose their life-- or a life, if you'd prefer." She replied to him through her mind, "But why me?" "Because you are my kin."

CougarTrail walked off by himself, "i'm not stupid, she's stupid for not telling me what herbs we need!" he mumbled to himself. "well i guess i'll get a little of each"
He padded over to some bucket root, chamolie, yarrow, horsetail and marigold. "well atleast its all in the same area. hmm i'll come back for the bucketroot later" he mewoed getting a little of each and going back to camp.

"Later,my dear Starpaw.You must be patient,for in time you will discover the path Starclan chose for you." "Alright,fine.But I doubt that will help anwser my question." Starpaw listened intently to her mentor,but her mind was set on the wise old leader's words,and she just couldn't stop glancing at Lionpaw.
