[ Oh, sorry. Didn't see that. ^^; (Gee, I must be blind! *whacks head*) ]
Gingerkit lowered her head, and wrapped her tail around herself, trying to be humble. She was speechless, however, and turned desperately to Sunkit for something to say. Sunkit looked every bit as nervous and afraid. "Um... Gingerkit said we were big enough to go hunting by... by ourselves. She convinced me." Gingerkit was shocked. She wanted to shout a million things, to say her sister was lying, she was the once who convinced her, and not the other way around. But she couldn't, being the quiet kit she was. Her jaw merely dropped, and she noticed her sister avoiding her gaze. Something fizzed in her brain, Do something, Gingerkit! Otherwise you'll get in trouble! But she still stayed silent, her eyes never leaving Sunkit. "Gingerkit? Is this true?" Icestar glared, snapping her focus back to the three cats in front of them. Realizing now that she couldn't say anything, she gulped and nodded, painful tears stinging her eyes, and a lake full of tears choked in her throat."Y-yes." She practically sobbed. "I-I did." Sunkit did look up, in astonishment, maybe because she was admitting to it. She quickly turned her gaze away when she whipped her head sharply back at her.
Sunpaw lowered her head unhappily. "You'd think an older sister would have more brains than that." Grasspaw shrugged. "I mean, she didn't even say it was me!" she exclaimed. She could feel hot tears swell behind her eyes. "I expected her to... say... it was... me...." She was sobbing now. Grasspaw let her lean her head on his shoulder, his tail wrapped around her. "It's okay. You're right to be upset." he whispered. "But... don't you think you should apologize anyway?" Sunpaw looked up at him, but before she could answer, she gasped. "What, Sunpaw?" "Her... Gingerpaw's watching." Grasspaw turned his head to the apprentices den, where sure enough, Gingerpaw and Steppingpaw had their heads poked out at the side. She looked like she was about to cry herself. "Oh, fox dung." Sunpaw muttered, leaning her head back on his shoulder.
"C'mon, Grasspaw, let's go ask if we can... go on border patrol," Sunpaw said somewhat loudly, remembering at the last second hunting would not be permitted to them. She led him away, watching her sister from the corner of her eye, doubt clouding over them.
