[[ Hehe, sorry, I read the "twist" question, but I didn't answer. X3 I'll do it now. ^_^ ]]
"W-Where am I?" Swallowtail asked, then shut her eyes, gritting her teeth at the stupid question. She knew she was in Starclan, but where exactly was she? It didn't seem like Starclan cats needed a medicine den. "I am Cloudedmoon," the she-cat rasped, clearing her throat. "I was a medicine cat, as you can tell, and I never got over not being one, even after I joined Starclan." The former medicine cat's eyes glassed over, as if recalling memories of being alive. It seemed like she wasn't going to answer her question any time soon, so she waited patiently, until she interrupted her deep thoughts as it seemed she was going to be like that for a while if she didn't. "Aren't you still a medicine cat?" Swallowtail asked. Cloudedmoon snapped awake. "Yes," she rumbled in a deep voice. "But you don't have any cats to heal, no herbs to forage for, nothing to care or worry about." The intensity of the cat's tone and eyes showed Swallowtail how much she cared. She was glad at least one cat still doing whatever they used to do, and she didn't want to think about how if she wasn't, where she would be then.
Swallowtail felt a familiar ache in the pit of her stomach, and what felt like lead in her heart. She missed Omenstorm, and their connection seemed stronger than ever. She could feel that Omenstorm was better, and living without her. She tried not to show it, but Cloudedmoon could see the pained look on her face. "You miss someone... right?" Her expression had softened and her tone was gentle. She swallowed, nodding. The former medicine cat sighed. She wrapped a comforting tail around Swallowtail, their body heat merging, yet they felt disconnected; strange. Swallowtail wondered if the she-cat could feel it also. If she did, she didnt' show it; she just nodded sympathetically. "This happens... to every cat who comes. I always help them the best I can. I always tell this same story the best I can. Except..." Cloudedmoon pulled away, and looked directly into Swallowtail's eyes. "This time, the story has changed."
[[ Hehe.. that's enough for now. You guys may respond. ^^; ]]
[[ *thinks about banging head on keyboard, but can't cuz in library* ^^; ]] [[ *pauses* I'm trying to think of a story.. Hrmm... -.- ]]
Swallowtail waited, urging silently with her eyes for Cloudedmoon to go on. She sighed, and began the story. "Once, long ago.. before either of us were born, there was a certain cat... A she-cat." A shiver went down Swallowtail's spine; the voice projecting from the medicine cat's form was shaky, but in a different, two-voiced way. The she-cat continued. "This cat was like every other warrior in the clan, always saved the best fresh-kill for the elders and queens, never disobeyed even the smallest rule in the warrior code." She closed her eyes for a moment, and continued. "Then, one starlit Gathering, she met him." Swallowtail's eyes widened. "They shared many a night together, sneaking out on planned, clever meeting places and times." Her eyes had a lustful look in them, as if remembering it as herself. Swallowtail remembered she said, "either of us", meaning she couldn't of.. right? The she-cat went on. "The days passed, and she and he stayed strong, always clever in their affairs. No one ever suspected. Eventually, her clan's leader lost his last life." She sighed in a grievious way. "They all grieved deeply for him, because he was a great leader. The deputy was shocked. But even more shocked was her, when she was announced deputy." Swallowtail's eyes widened again. "One evening, after they had met and gone back, she received.. a very strange dream." Cloudedmoon paused, and her facial expression showed she was trying to remember the next details. "She... was running, but suddenly, she was stopped by a barrier of thorns." Cloudedmoon sighed, remembering.
[ Eheh... my time's running out, I'll be back to finish the story. ^^; ]
[[ ACK! I'm soo stupid. -.- I added a whole bunch to the story, but my mom wanted the computer, I let her, didn't save, she deleted teh window. NOO!! T^T *sigh* I guess I'll have to shorten this one.. as well... So you guys proly won't get it, but if you want the whole gist, message me. X3 ]]
"She... was running, but suddenly, she was stopped by a barrier of thorns." Cloudedmoon sighed, remembering. "A solid black tom suddenly appeared, scaring her practically to death. He had an angry expression on his face, and guilt flooded the half-mad she-cat, for she knew exactly why. This was her previous leader, and now he had come back to haunt her. "You- you have betrayed us, and the warrior code. For this, you shall receive punishment!" the angry tom announced. "No, please, no! I didn't do anything.. I swear I didn't do anything!" she pleaded, but nothing worked. "You have already suffered heartbreak- but you must pay your clan back what you have taken away from them- a healthy, strong warrior. You must pay the consequences!" The she-cat wailed, desperate, trying to bargain with her furious leader. "I lost him, he doesn't talk to me anymore... I don't even know where he is now!" she sobbed, crying for herself and her love. The former leader's eyes hardened. "His clan are rid of him- he died in a treacherous fire, his remains- nothing." At this, she made a disgusting display of her love for him by begging the tom to talk to her former love. He told her that because his remains were lost, he never joined Starclan. She sobbed, harder than ever. "You disgust me," her leader scowled, and narrowed his eyes at her. "For this, your punishment shall be... your survival. You shall not die yet, but until you do, you will not get sick and you shall wander restlessly in the nights, looking for him." He was a great leader, also known for his endless-seeming knowledge. "And even after you die... you will not go to Starclan, but to stay in your grave, coming alive as a ghost, haunting the clan, telling them and showing them of your horrible deed." At this, he faded... and she awoke." Cloudedmoon sighed, as if retelling the story pained her. "She went mad- every cat got out of her way as she practically flew out of the camp, no one stopping her as she ran toward the lover's hill- atop his territory, above his old camp. She leaped off... and died. She killed herself." A bone-rattling chill went through Cloudedmoon, and Swallowtail could see that this did pain her- very much. Her own heart was breaking for the forbidden loves. She lowered her head, but Cloudedmoon, surprisingly, continued. "But before she did, she shouted out to the whole of the clans, and land far beyond, a prophecy."
[ Ahhh.. I have to go rite now. >.< I'll be back in about 30 mins-1 hr, k Omen? Brb! ]
Cloudedmoon paused, and her eyes opened, the clearness of the deep blue shining. "There shall be a cat, like me, who shall be reborn, and I shall walk the land freely again." Swallowtail gulped, not understanding what she had to do with it. Cloudedmoon stared at her, eyes slit. "Have you not noticed you are different?" she said quietly, as if reading her thoughts. "That you do not... belong here?" The words stung, and Swallowtail stared at her paws forlornly. "No." The medicine cat said angrily. "Look at me." Swallowtail looked up, eyes shining with unshed tears. Cloudedmoon's expression softened. "You," she said, resting her tail comfortingly on the small of Swallowtail's back. "Are special. You arethe cat to be reborn. I can feel it." Swallowtail sighed, not knowing what to say. "She... Many cats have come, in ambition, after hearing my story." Clouded moon sighed."They wanted to be reborn, yes, but not controlled. They demanded me for an answer, one I could not give." The she-cat looked straight into Swallowtail's eyes. "But you- I can sense you do not want in particular to be reborn. Nor does it tempt you. You- are special." Her voice became stronger, echoing in the small cave. "You- you will be reborn." Swallowtail stared back, hope returning in her eyes. Cloudedmoon smiled. "Yes- you shall." She murmured. Her tail traveled to a hidden pocket, and produced a small plant, a tiny bundle of some sort of grass, with a sweet smell emitting from it. The skin of a small pink berry shone through. "Eat this- and rest. You shall remember not of this, with the exception of faint traces." Swallowtail sighed. "I have one question: How do you know? That this is... real?" Cloudedmoon smiled, with great motherly love. "Because... she... was my mother. She born me... after she left for Starclan." She smiled in Swallowtail's awe. "Yes... she born me in Starclan. She was truly a magnificant cat..." she murmured. She looked up. "Now eat this. You need to, otherwise... well, I don't know what will happen if you don't." Swallowtail obeyed, gulping down the small, juicy, but somewhat tasteless berry. She felt faint, and the last thing she saw was Cloudedmoon's smile...
[[ Yes, the next part. x] What do you think? ^.^ ]]
OCC: well i guess OmenStorm will become depressed then RaccoonFur will help her through it and then their friendship will take another step forward? But i don't want to do anything exciting until SwallowTail si re-born lolz

"Ugh... Where am I?" Swallowtail groaned and sat up. She was on solid, hard ground, and by the prickling heat in her fur, she guessed it was sunhigh. "Am I... alive?" She tasted the air, and millions of different, unique smells overwhelmed her. She coughed. Her voice sounded strange, strangled almost. She decided to look for someone, anyone. "Hello?" she called, walking around. This part of the forest was unfamiliar to her. She kept walking, calling. She heard what seemed like every pawstep, mice and other prey scrambling under cover. This level of intensity gave Swallowtail a terrible headache, and she stopped to rest for a moment. Maybe I'm not alive after all... I'm still in Starclan... Swallowtail mused, sighing rejectedly. A swallow warbled overhead, and she looked up. The small bird soared over her head, flying west. She decided to follow it, if not anything else.
