This is the ONE CAT RP, where we all play as one cat. Her name is Sunpaw. Her story begins on her first day as an apprenitce, with her brother and sister. One person will add on to the story, untill it ends. (which might be never, lol XD) You may play ONLY as Sunpaw, but if she is talking to somebody, or in any way interacting with another cat, you can answer as them.
I'll start: Sunpaw waited for her mentor to finish speaking with Icestar. What in the name of StarClan is taking him so long? Suddenly, her friends, Steppingpaw and Grasspaw, padded toward her. "Are you and Darksrtipe ready for border patrol yet?" Grasspaw meowed impatiently, his dark gray pelt beaming against the sun. "Not, yet." Sunpaw sighed. "So... how's training?"
"Hey," Steppingpaw piped up. "Don't you think it'd be better if we just went hunting while they're talking?" "What?" Sunpaw and Grasspaw meowed at the same time. "No way! We'll get in trouble for sure." "Do you want us to clean the ticks off the elders' pelts?" Grasspaw groaned. "Nobody'll know." Steppingpaw meowed. "Now c'mon, you bunch of cowards." As they slipped through the entrance, Grasspaw muttered to Sunpaw. "She's always trying to be number one, especially by getting us in trouble." "What do we do?" Sunpaw whispered back.
"Lets step aside and see if she notices." Grasspaw whispered back. Sunpaw nodded her head and they went quietly into a bush, she had to try hard to maintain her laughter.
Steppingpaw kept going, not suspecting a thing. When she was out of sight, the two apprentices burst into laughter. "She's so guillible!" Sunpaw exclaimed. "Yeah," Grasspaw purred softly. "Well, we should get back to camp, shouldn't we?"
I listened to Grasspaw's remark. I gasped. "Oh, I bet you they will! We better hurry back!" Rushing back to camp was a snap, but seeing out furious mentor's there was scary.
I winced under the glare of my mentor. "Sunpaw, where were you?" he boomed, his voice a low strike. It was full of venom as he said it. I flinched again and mewed quietly, "We were chasing after Steppingpaw. She had gone out of camp to hunt. Now she's lost!"
Grasspaw piped up. "Well, actually she tried making us go hunting with her. But she didn't notice us leave. She knows how to get back." "How could she?" Pantherclaw, Grasspaw's mentor growl angerily. "This is all your first day as apprentice. We haven't shown you a strip of territory!" Grasspaw remained ground without flinching. Sunpaw wondered if he was afraid or not. "She's snuck out before." he replied promptly. "Oh...," Darkstripe moaned. "That's just fantastic!." Pantherclaw sighed. "Well, we might as well search for her." he turned to Sunpaw and Grasspaw. "You will come with us. This can be your tour through parts of the forest as well."
I flinched as I murmured, "Sorry for not telling you," to Darkstripe. I followed as I thought of what could happen, or what could go wrong. Every single thought made me flinch.
Darkstripe sighed. "Next time, don't leave that furball in the forest." Sunpaw and Grasspaw couldn't help but laugh. Pantherclaw purred, nudging Darkstripe playfully. "Do not speak such a way about an apprentice. Even if they are quite mouse-brained." Sunpaw laughed louder. Atleast their mentors had a good sence of humor.
"Well," Pantherclaw meowed. "Look who's here." Sunpaw stared at Steppingpaw, who looked stunned and angry. Grasspaw smirked. "That's what I said earlier, and I quote "Picking the ticks on the elders' backs'."
I stared at Steppingpaw, unable to talk due to my laughing. I muffled my giggle with my paw. I stuffed it into my mouth. I then spat it out. It was covered in grass and dirt.
Grasspaw showed no attempt to stop his laughing. But Pantherclaw soon covered his mouth with his own paw. Both the apprentice's giggling was quieting down, while they waited for Steppingpaw's answer.
This made Sunpaw and Grasspaw laughed harder than ever. "Then I suppose dragging us along with you hunting alone?" Grasspaw sneered. Steppingpaw glared at him. "I'll get you for this, you two..." she whispered. "Oh, no you won't," Pantherclaw meowed firmly. "Because you'll be too busy cleaning the dens, picking ticks off the elders' backs, ... and gathering herbs for the medicine den." "Way to start a first day as an apprentice." Grasspaw murmured under his breath. Sunpaw giggled.
Sunpaw looked at Grasspaw. Grasspaw looked up at pantherclaw and Darkstripe. "Go to your mentor, Steppingpaw." Pantherclaw ordered. As she left unwillingly, Grasspaw sneered. "That'll teach her for always getting us in trouble. On purpose." "Now, you too," Darkstripe, voice lightened. "We are taking you on your grand tour of the forest!"
We'll start with Sunning Rocks in moment, but Pantherclaw and I must speak with the leader." Darkstripe meowed as the two warriors left. Again? They have to speak with Icestar AGAIN? Sunpaw wondered in dismay. Grasspaw groaned as they sat down to wait. The camp seemed unusualy silent.
"Grasspaw, is it just me or does something seem to be happening around here." Sunpaw looked at him hopefully, hoping she wasnt the only one who noticed.
Grasspaw looked over at Sunpaw. "Do you think its sickness?" he asked. Sunpaw shook her head. "Wingedeagle would be in and out getting herbs. Which he (SHE?) hasn't." "He could be sneaking out at night, not wanting the clan to notice." Sunpaw shook her head, "Thats silly why would you keep sickness from your clan?"
Grasspaw paused, then muttered. "Yeah, that's really stupid." Sunpaw shrugged, and got up. "You don't think they'd mind if we got some breakfast, do you? I'm starved!"
"I think I'll go to the fresh-kill pile." Sunpaw meowed. "Want me to get you something?" Before Grasspaw could answer, Gingerpaw, Sunpaw's abnoxious older sister, came by. "We must feed the clan before ourselves." she meowed promptly. "Oh, go stick your muzzle in some crowfood, will you?" Grasspaw retorted. Sunpaw added. "We're just going to get one mouse. We'll divide it in half, so it won't even be that much." "I'm telling Icestar!" Gingerpaw sniffed, and waited for an answer. "Listen, you," Grasspaw stood up growling. "You have no right to tell us what to do, warrior code or not." Not sure if she ment to break the code itself, Sunpaw nodded warily.
"Oh, yeah?" Gingerpaw sneered. "I saw what you guys did. The whole thing." She stood smugly, a dirty grin on her face Sunpaw was holding back with all of her strength to not wipe off with a hard cuff of her paw. "I heard both of you, whispering. Of course, I could hear every single word." Sunpaw was now trembling with anger. She felt Grasspaw's pelt shaking as well. "You guys weren't forced. You guys wanted to go hunt." She openly snarled at them. "I wouldn't be talking... if I were you..." Grasspaw whispered dangerously, his eyes mere slits. "Well, I don't think you'd be talking... once I tell Steppingpaw!" Sunpaw couldn't help widening her eyes a little. Telling Icestar was no threat, of course, since Gingerpaw acted mouse-brained in front of warriors bigger than her. Telling Steppingpaw, however, she'd gain an ally, and Steppingpaw was in no mood to give them especially any mercy. She exchanged a short glance with Grasspaw, whose eyes said he feared the same. Sunpaw gritted her teeth, dismissed the thought of ripping her sister's pelt into tiny pieces, and growled quietly, "What do you want?" ...
Gingerpaw snickered, knowing she had caught them like a mice in her paws. "First," she meowed smugly. "I want you to confess to your mentors." Sunpaw gasped, and strained herself to keep quiet. "Second, I want you to tell Icestar that you would like to help the elders and the nurserey for your first moon of training." Sunpaw noticed that Gingerpaw was adressing this only to her. Sunpaw watched Gingerpaw in shock. Grasspaw took a step forward, his pericing green eyes staring frightningly into Sunpaw's sister. "Now hear this," he snarled. "You know as well as I do that Steppingpaw is a no good trouble-making mouse brain, and your no better. So I suggest you leave us alone and stop the black mailing, or you'll have your tail between Icestar's claws." Sunpaw, just a shocked as Gingerpaw's expression seemed, slowly began to feel a wide grin spread across her face. They had gotton Gingerpaw in their paws now. Gingerpaw began to step back, and quickly dashed to Steppingpaw in the apprentice's den. Flamepaw, Sunpaw's kind hearted brother, showed up from behind. "I'll see you later." Grasspaw grunted, and trudged off. Sunpaw looked back at him blankly, and meowed. "Why does Gingerpaw hate me?" Flamepaw chuckled. "It because she's jealouse of you." Sunpaw stared at him surprised. "What?" Famepaw nodded. "She likes Grasspaw alot. I'm guessing she's jealouse because he spends plenty of time with you instead of her."
Sunpaw almost laughed out loud. Her sister... was jeaous.. of her? Wow. It was certainly something to digest. She turned to Flamepaw. "How'd you know?" She was curiously interested, if he could get something out of Gingerpaw, she wanted to know how.
Flamepaw smirked. "Isn't it obvious?" Sunpaw shook her head, confused. "She's always staring at him with those googley amber eyes of hers. You remember that game in the nurserey? The one where we had two leaders who'd pick all the team members? Whenever she was a leader, she'd pick him first!" Sunpaw shook her head. "I can't believe I didn't notice that." Flamepaw shrugged, and glanced at the fresh-kill pile, where Grasspaw was eating by himself. "Want to get something to eat?" "Sure," Sunpaw repiled, and followed him to where Grasspaw was sitting.
As Sunpaw walked over and ate with Grasspaw, she noticed Gingerpaw exit the den with Steppingpaw in tow, both wearing malicious grins. Gingerpaw's, however, as Sunpaw noticed, was only directed at her, and her tail twitched as she got closer to Grasspaw. Sunpaw herself wore a steely look, she obviously couldn't reveal her secret in front of Grasspaw, who was glaring equally at them. She could drop hints, that she knew, though... She dropped her fierce gaze, a plan forming in her head.
"Hey, Gingerpaw." She said smoothly, paying no obvious attention to Steppingpaw, who had a malicious smile on her lips. "What's up?"
"What's up? Oh, my sister, you definitely know what's up." She smiled, an evil glint in her eye. Steppingpaw nodded, with an equal gaze.
"Oh... you mean how you're going to talk to you-know-who? I heard he's quite a talker. Very nice, though." She decided to let it out as soon as she could, so she could get immediate revenge. She liked playing with her prey, although she didn't feel like toying with her sister just then.
Sunpaw resisted the urge to giggle at her sis's reaction. First, her smile immediately dropped, and her face became very red, darker than her pelt. Her eyes turned into slits, and she growled, "What?"
"Oh, I think you know what I'm talking about." She said calmly, but she let the smile show at last, showing her that she had a plan, and each other thing was cancelled out if Gingerpaw gave in and followed it.
Sunpaw smirked as she watched Gingerpaw's faced burn a dark shade of red. Flamepaw stared silently, and Grasspaw stood up next to them. "Who's this "you-know-who"?" He asked curiously. Sunpaw swalloed back a laugh of hysteria. "Oh, none in paticuliar," Sunpaw glanced at Gingerpaw at the edge of her eye. "Unless, ofcoarse, you'd like to know." At this, Gingerpaw gasped, her amber eyes glowing in shock. She quickly tried to calm herself, and meowed hurridly to them. "No, no. He has nothing to do with "you-know-who"." Both Sunpaw and Flamepaw burst into laughter. "As if!" Flamepaw yowled over the giggling. As they chuckled together, Sunpaw began to think. She imediately stopped laughing. Her eyes dulled unhappily. What in StarClan am I doing? She thought. I'm acting like Gingerpaw! This is how she acts to me. Although it seems so good, its not right. And I especially don't want to be turned into a smaller Gingerpaw. Sunpaw sighed, and looked back at the confused Grasspaw. "He's nobody." She meowed quietly. Flamepaw and Steppingpaw stared at her curiously. Gingerpaw sighed with relief, but quickly stared at her with burning hostility. "I'd like to talk to you," she growled. "Alone."
Gingerpaw led the way, leaving Grasspaw and Steppingpaw hanging, unsure. Sunpaw padded calmly after her, and stopped. "This is far enough... Yes, Gingerpaw, what do you want?" She smiled sweetly, fake, of course.
"Do what? Oh, you mean about Grasspaw?" She laughed. "Your you-know-who?" Gingerpaw's eyes glared furiously, and her tail lashed out. Sunpaw stopped. "Listen," she hissed, lowering her voice. "If you want your precious secret kept, then be nicer. To me, and Grasspaw." Gingerpaw scoffed. "Like I was going to be mean to him, anyway..." Sunpaw glared. "Of course, we don't get in trouble, and... oh, and Steppingpaw has to be nice too." She said, satisfied with the sudden thought. They looked over to where the two cats sat uncomfortably, unsure of what to do. Steppingpaw may act tough, but Gingerpaw's really the brain, she thought. She promised herself to keep a close eye on both of them.
Sunpaw watched Grasspaw move toward them, and whispered to Gingerpaw. "It's your choice." "What in StarClan is so interesting that you have to talk in private about?" Grasspaw meowed impatiently. He instantly sat down beside Sunpaw, which she noticed made Gingerpaw glare again. Steppingpaw, padding up close to them, posistioned herself next to Gingerpaw. She had her nose in the air, as usual. "Come on," Grasspaw meowed in an upset tone to Sunpaw. "I don't want to waste my time infront of these mouse-brains."
"Agreed." Sunpaw glanced over to Gingerpaw, who was now very, very angry. She cast a quick, triumphant look at her, expression smug. She knew that Gingerpaw would listen, not wanting to jeopardize her possible future if she listened to her defiant sister.
OOC: Zomg, I just love this RP. It just brings something different to it, and its more organized. XD
Sunpaw followed Grasspaw into the apprentices' den. He sat down, and looked up at her with a confused glance, one that Sunpaw rarely saw on the intelligent Grasspaw's face. "Why is your sister so mean?" he meowed. Sunpaw shrugged, and slumped down next to him. "Dunno. Maybe she's just meant to treat everybody tht way." Grasspaw shook his light brown head. No, not to everybody, I've just noticed that she can be exceptionally mean to you." Sunpaw paused, and thought for a moment.
"True." She replied. "I don't mind though. We never got along well as kits..." She paused, remembering a certain thought that showed she wasn't exactly telling the truth...
"What?" Grasspaw frowned. "Is there something else to the story?" Sunpaw thanked him silently at his understanding. She sighed. "Actually, there is..." She began. "It was something that happened long ago, when we were small kits..."
[ xD I would like to say more, but it seems... right to stop here. ^_^ My thoughts were that Sunpaw did something horrible to Ginger when they were very small kits, like backstabbing her. Maybe leaving the camp and blaming it on her or something. xD ^_^; ]
OOC: Lol, good idea. ;D Though tht doesn't sound like the sweet, inocent Sunpaw we're playing. Unless, ofcoarse it COULD have been Gingerpaw's fault, but she hated getting in trouble, so shedecided to despise Sunpaw for eternity. XD
[ xD Well, since you're not doing it, I guess I'll do it then. xD ]
It was sunhigh, and Sunkit was bored. She looked around lazily for someone to play with. "Hey Ginger," she meowed, nudging her sister awake. "Mrrhm?" She sleepily opened an eye. "Yes, Sunkit?" "Ya wanna go... outside?" Gingerkit was wide awake in a second. "Outside?" She repeated. "As in, out of the camp?" Sunpaw smiled at the attention she was getting from her (younger) sister. "Of course," she purred manipulatingly. "Where else?" Gingerkit began to argue, but Sunkit rolled her eyes, silencing her. "This is too boring. We've explored every inch of the camp, I want something new." She grinned, her eyes bright with anticipation. Gingerkit shuffled her paws nervously. "B-but what if we get lost? Or someone catches us?" She stared at her anxiously. "We won't get caught." Sunkit scoffed. "I mean, we only want to explore, right?" She smiled sweetly. "It's not like the others can blame us for being curious." She started padding away. "So, you coming or not?" Gingerkit sighed. "Okay," she said, finally giving in. "I guess it could be fun." Her eyes brightened. "Now that's the spirit!" Sunpaw chirped. "Here, let's go through this way..." She showed an awestruck Gingerkit a small hole in the brambles, too small for a grown cat, but perfect for small kits. "Wow! How'd you find this?" Gingerkit asked, amazed. "Well... you find things when you've seen every inch of the camp. And lemme tell ya, there's a lot more than you think." She winked.
[ You continue. You can make up how they got in trouble! ^_^ ]
((Okay. And /gingerpaw is Sunpaw's OLDER sister. ;D))
Sunkit slid through the small hole, flicking her tail at Gingerpaw to follow. The two kits bounded onward to a mysterious, rocky area. Sunkit leaped onto a large rock, and Gingerpaw did so on another. "Can't catch me!" she exclaimed to the young she-kit. "Oh, yes I can!" Sunkit mewed, and lunged at the neighboring rock. Suddenly, they heard a yowl of anger from behind them. They shifted their heads, only to find Icestar, along with Pantherheart, Waterlfame, and their mother, Rosewing. "What in StarClan are you doing outside of camp?" Rosewing exclimed, her eyes burning with both fear and fury. "I never shoud have left you in the nurserey!"
Sunkit grinned at accomplishing to excite her older, more precautious sister. "C'mon!" She whispered happily, and slipped into the hole. Gingerkit wasn't claustrophobic, at least, that's what she hoped. Soon, Sunkit's face poked out in the open forest, and she breathed in deeply. "Aah!" She sighed happily. She turned back to the hole. "Gingerkit?" She peered into the hole. "You okay in there?"
